1600 head

something you need?

1600 head

Postby bobbyd on Mon Jun 22, 2009 3:47 pm

Has anyone got a spare one of these they would be keen to offload?
My 92 Niva needs valve seals so I thought I'd give another head the once over and just swap them at my leisure.
If I can get one that is.

Hi Bob
I have that whole motor sitting in my garage, you could probably pull the head off that if that would serve your purposes?
Cheers

Giday there,
That would certainly give me what I want but then you will be stuck with an engine without a head, so I couldn't not take you up on that offer.
I will be mobile in a weekish, are you up for a visit? check out my new toy? Is the celica hanging in there?

yeah don't really have any plans for that engine but spose it is not much good with no head. Yeah got exams this week then some time off next week to work on the cars hopefully and would be keen to see what you have done. Celica is ok, white goo didn't seems to make much difference but it does not seem to bad if you are careful with it, so hopefully should get away with it for a while.
cheers

8) I'll take it off your hand's... I plan on swapping a 1300 head off a Samara onto a 1600 block, would much rather use a spare than my own 1600.

I have visited a few Niva owners lately and one thing they have in common is they hoard up parts,
Someone has a spare head out there, I know it

If I buy a complete 1988 engine I am guessing vertually everything would be compatable, would I be right?
I have a 92 1600 now
