Then promptly died....no problem, rip out the 2L Lancia TC and replace with the 1.8 I'd procured. No problemo, all internals apart from crank, all externals all the same, easy peasy. OH NO THEY AINT, sump different, oil pump different, spigot bearing...geez this list is getting long and then the run in with the rather large and angry Angus bull (me not Boris) so things are going reaaaallllllyyyy slowly at the moment

Update time if anyone interested....1.8 had a naff oil pump, result 1 very seized motor so time to resurrect the 2L and if you're thinking about buying a full gasket set for a Lancia motor make sure you're sitting down when you get the price
