Hi Guys!

Was really pleased to find an Aussie Niva forum! I have Russian background so if you need any help translating those Cyrillic manuals, posts, etc, please feel free to ask me for the translation

G'day, Alexander!

Great to have another member aboard. Even better to have someone show us what the Russian words are that we can't quite work out. :D

Welcome aboard.

I was very surprised to find such a following for the best car that USSR/Russia ever produced here in Australia.

I have recently bought 1996 VAZ 21213 Niva 1.7 carb. Car's condition is not too bad, very good interior, decent mechanics (so far), however the exterior requires some work (re-spray would be good).

I will be more then happy to help you guys to translate. In the meanwhile there is huge Russian Nova forum here www.niva4x4.ru with wealth of information. So please if you have a problem, I am sure that i can find an answer there for you

Hi Scott,

Do you want to perform an engine conversion to the opel/daewoo 2.0l? If this is the case, let me know. There are better alternatives described on some russian forums such as VW 1.9TDI, which makes niva a great diesel 4x4. In any case I will try to find out how to do this?

Alex
