Kings Springs & RS5000's

Postby ash on Fri Jan 04, 2008 5:31 pm

OK well ill start here.

Ive fitted Kings Springs which are about a 2" lift and Rancho RS5000 Shocks.

The ride is pretty good, much better offroad due to the extra length of springs and shocks too.

I haven't had any troubles with spring mounts cracking or bending yet and its had a lot of hard use 8)

Yeah, I never had mount problems with my '88 model. Fitted mine with Kings springs and Bilstein shocks. Spent the majority of it's life offroad. What used to worry me more was the cracks that were forming everywhere else..........
To the optomist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass is half empty. To the Engineer, the glass is twice the size it has to be.

For liffting my niva I've used wedges at the front(betveen wishbone arm and spring saddle) and 3 inches longer springs at the rear end.Still running original lenght shocks.Using that setup for almost 10 years and no problems atall
