Spacers

Postby John Kennedy on Mon Jul 13, 2009 11:48 am

Hi all,

I found a couple of places here in Perth that can make up spacers. I gave then the dimensions for the 'hoodoo2' spacers and just received the reply below.

"The material would be 25mm thick natural (white) UHMWPE.
The cost for two would be $31.50each plus GST."

Which comes to AUS$69.30 a pair. Not as cheap as a chopping board from Ikea but would definitely be a better spacer with my fabrication skills.

The company is

AFM Plastic Products
2 / 14 Foley Street
Balcatta WA 6021
Ph: 08 9240 4033
Fax: 08 9240 4066
Email: sales@afmplastics.com.au

They seem quite efficient, they replied to me on the same day.

I also need the steel tube that fits around the bump stop to keep the spacer centred. I'm currently checking the steel tube diameter I can get locally before ordering the spacer to make sure they will fit together.

I'm sure there would be enough members here keen for some rear spacers. Just post up saying yay, so we can get some numbers and quotes. - We may even be able to pressure the man himself "Hoodoo" to build kits for us aussie bloke.
