1, Fuse box ripped out and replaced with a new fuse system all wiring, relays, switches, lights all electrics checked, cleaned etc etc the lada now uses the plastic type fuses ALOT better prick of a job though

2, 5 speed gearbox put in found out the fiat twin cam motor was siezed in piston #4 so today i ripped the head off to find stacks of rust in the #4 chamber wass'nt pretty but believe it or not my father and I got this thing cleaned up and all pistons move freely again :O do have pics will post them up as soon as i can but i didnt get any pics of what the chamber looked like before the clean up so im spewing but managed to get a pic of the head which will show how badly #4 was head was also siezed but got that free'd up aswell

3, Brakes OMG what a nightmare have virtually replaced the complete brake system then the other night when we took it for a test run we blew one of the front caliper piston rubber seals so they got replaced

4, New underfelt been put in throughout

5, new rear panel been welded on to replace the real rusted one that was on there

These are the problems that still need to be sorted out
1.8ltr fiat engine rebuilt obviously

Thanks for the comment

No in the 5 years of laying around the motor was in a parts car and well lets just say some water got into the carby grrrrr

I am thinking about scrapping the 1.8 ltr engine conversion anyway and rebuilding the 1.6 it needs a oil pump badly though anyone know where i can get parts to rebuild the motor cheap or get it rebuilt cheap cheers if not ill probably just wack an oil pump in it and run it into the ground from there

parts are cheap to rebuild the 1600 motor

of course,we have pumps etc.in stock

main problem with oil pressure (as in a lot of cars) is non gen. oil filters.

we had another niva in on sat.morning with oil pressure problems.oil light coming on/flickering.
the customer wanted a new oil pump for it,we had a bit of a "disagreement" about non gen filters (he had a ryco on it),so in the end he bought a genuine filter, fitted it here,& straight away noticed the difference with oil pressure on the guage,& no more oil light coming on.
in fact,he phoned me few minutes ago to thank me for saving him money & time,& the oil light hasn't come on since.....
