Two inch and over lifts may need a engineer cert, this includes lift created by tyres too.

In some ways a good idea, but if the proposal is anything like the expensive and largely pointless and expensive red-tape you need in NZ for simple and well know lifts then it's probably stupid.

There should be general certs with set designs (eg so kits can be bought already certed, and all they need is the WOF inspector to check they're installed properly as part of the regular WOF check), and there some be latitude for simple/smaller lifts (eg coils lifts) not to need certs at all. There also should be acceptable amounts each vehicle can increase its wheels with an engineer's cert (ie it should be known that say all GA Patrols can accommodate tyres XX% bigger than standard without problems, etc)

BTW - your surveymoney link is mang and doesn't work. :(
